šŸ”„ I’m Joining The Subnet Music Project @ DEF CON 33!

Hacker Summer Camp is about to get a whole new frequency. I’m excited to announce that I’ve joined The Subnet Music Project—an experimental mash‑up of music and networked art running during DEF CON 33. It’s a distributed audio experience, powered by locating nodes around the con that deliver tracks from high‑profile artists in the hacker community.

🚨 What’s it all about?

  • Think of it as an underground DEF CON playlist: speakers hidden around the venue or Las Vegas, each streaming curated tracks to ā€œcompile the full playlistā€ as you discover them .
  • It’s not an official con project—but it’s aligned with the DIY spirit of Hacker Summer Camp and DEF CON: locate, connect, hang, share .
  • Artists include folks from the DEF CON art/music scene—you’ll want to watch for the legit SSID and join the hunt .

šŸŽ§ Why I’m excited to be involved:

  • I’ll be contributing an exclusive track to the project. If you want to check it out, this is the only place you can get it.
  • This project is a perfect collision of music + hacking: stealthy distribution, network discovery, live interaction, creative expression.

šŸ“ How to get involved:

  1. Head over to the official gateway page: TheSubnetMusicProject website
  2. Scan for the project’s SSIDs at DEF CON
  3. Plug in your ears, let the playlist unfold as you move.
  4. Share your experience (or hidden node location) on Mastodon/Twitter with #TheSubnetProject or drop in at DEF CON Social channels for traction .

Let’s turn DEF CON into a soundscape as wild and unpredictable as its attendees. I’m honored to be part of this cyber‑punk network art. If you find me in the playlist, say hi—or track me down IRL in Vegas, if you can. šŸ˜‰

Stay tuned. Hack the music, hack the world.
